About Desley

My journey with EFT…

My journey with EFT began when I took a course in 2005 and started tapping with friends and family. I started to use it in my classroom (I was a full-time teacher back then) and witnessed the children become calm, centered, present and happy. I used it with my own kids too. We tapped most days in the car on the way to school to help them arrive happy and ready for the day. It proved to be a tremendous supportive tool. I was amazed seeing this simple, yet powerful tool help others feel happy, calm and relaxed.

Over the years I tapped on my own issues clearing unwanted emotional baggage and transforming limiting beliefs. This fueled my passion to learn more. I pursued more study and training before I began working in private practice helping people with a variety of challenges.

Through tapping I have found the confidence and courage to live my life more in tune with myself and my needs. As a busy teacher and mother it was easy for me to put myself and my needs last. Using EFT I transformed the fear, the guilt and the limiting beliefs I carried about making me and my needs a priority. I stopped being a ‘burnt chop’ mother and learned to value my own needs - not easy for a girl who had learned that my value and worth came from sacrificing my own needs for the greater good of everyone else. Transforming this ingrained limiting belief took time. I learned the value of putting my own oxygen mask on first which has empowered me to effectively support others to do the same.

As I let go of what was no longer serving me I engaged in more exciting, life-enriching activities that fed my soul like walking a 300 kilometre Camino in Spain in 2019; something I didn’t think possible in my 60s until I tapped on my resistance and found the confidence to go for it! That to me is emotional freedom!

I love sharing this amazing tool to help others heal whatever is holding them back from being in touch with love, peace and joy; from achieving their goals and developing their power and potential.
